Brevo automations and sales from email
With Brevo connected, the Email Marketing section of your report covers more than campaigns. It also shows:
- Automation emails: what your automation workflows sent, and how those emails performed.
- Sales from email: orders, revenue and the products people bought after clicking through from your emails.
Both use the Brevo connection you already have. There’s nothing extra to connect in Know Your Market. You only need to set a few things up in Brevo.
Before you start
Section titled “Before you start”Connect Brevo to the brand first. See Email marketing (Mailchimp and Brevo).
Automation emails
Section titled “Automation emails”What you see in the report
Section titled “What you see in the report”- Cards: automation emails sent, delivered, open rate, unique clicks, click rate and unsubscribes, each compared with last month.
- 13-month chart: automation emails sent and unique clicks.
- Automation (tag) table: one row per tag, with sent, delivered, opens, clicks, open rate and click rate. The template names under each tag are listed under its name.
Open and click rates for automations are worked out on delivered emails.
Set it up in Brevo
Section titled “Set it up in Brevo”The report splits automation emails by the tag on the email template. To get one row per automation:
- In Brevo, open the email template an automation sends.
- Select Show advanced options.
- In Tag, enter a short name for the automation, for example
welcomeorabandoned-cart. - Save the template.
- Repeat for every template in that automation, using the same tag.
Give each automation its own tag. Every template with the same tag adds up into one row.
Emails without a tag still count in the totals. They just don’t get a row in the table.
Sales from email
Section titled “Sales from email”What you see in the report
Section titled “What you see in the report”- Cards: revenue, orders and average order from your campaigns, with new customers under the orders card. If Brevo reports sales from automations, a second row shows revenue, orders and average order from automations.
- Campaign table: Orders and Revenue columns for each campaign.
- Top products bought from email: product name, SKU, orders and revenue, with the product image where your store provides one.
The figures are Brevo’s own attribution: an order counts when the buyer clicked through from your email before buying.
Set it up in Brevo
Section titled “Set it up in Brevo”- Turn on Brevo’s eCommerce app. Go to app.brevo.com/ecommerce and follow Brevo’s steps.
- Connect your online store to Brevo so orders and products flow in:
- Shopify: install the Brevo app from the Shopify App Store.
- WooCommerce: install the Brevo for WooCommerce plugin.
- Other stores: use Brevo’s own integration for your platform.
- Keep link tracking on in your emails. It’s on by default in Brevo. Sales can only be linked to an email when the click is tracked.
If eCommerce isn’t turned on, or no orders came from email in the month, the Sales from email cards and the products table don’t show.
When the figures appear
Section titled “When the figures appear”New figures come in with the daily refresh. Set things up in Brevo and they show in the next report.
Tags only apply to emails sent after you add them. Emails sent earlier stay in the automation totals without a tag row.
Troubleshooting
Section titled “Troubleshooting”“Automation emails don’t show in my report.” Check the automation has sent emails in the month. The section only shows for months with automation sends.
“Everything is in the totals but the tag table is empty.” The templates have no tag. Add tags as shown above.
“Sales from email doesn’t show.” Check Brevo’s eCommerce app is on, your store is connected to Brevo, and orders are showing in Brevo’s own campaign reports.
For anything else, see Troubleshooting.
